The patterns you carry into your relationships can influence how you communicate, handle conflict, experience closeness, and respond when you feel hurt. Luma Theta uses theta-based hypnotherapy to help you work with the emotional, subconscious, and nervous system patterns that may be affecting your relationships—so you can create greater connection, communication, trust, and growth with the people who matter most.
You may love the person you’re with—and still feel like the relationship isn’t what you want it to be.
Maybe you keep having the same arguments over and over again. One of you wants to talk while the other shuts down. One person pulls away, and the other pushes harder. You may feel misunderstood, disconnected, or like you’re spending more time managing the relationship than actually enjoying it.
Perhaps the relationship looks good from the outside, but something feels missing.
You may want more connection. Better communication. Greater trust. More emotional or physical intimacy. You may want to feel like you’re on the same team again.
And yet, knowing what you want from a relationship doesn’t always make it easy to create.
That’s because relationships are shaped by more than good intentions.
The way you respond when you’re hurt, disappointed, criticized, ignored, or afraid of losing connection can become deeply familiar. You may know that getting defensive doesn’t help—but still find yourself becoming defensive. You may want to communicate calmly and still shut down when the conversation gets uncomfortable. You may want to feel close to someone and still pull away, criticize, pursue, avoid, or protect yourself when closeness begins to feel vulnerable.
Over time, these responses can become automatic.
Two people can unintentionally develop a familiar cycle where each person’s attempt to protect themselves triggers the other person’s protective response—until both people are doing the very things that create more distance.
At Luma Theta, we work with the emotional, subconscious, and body-based patterns that may be influencing how you show up in your relationships.
Through deep, theta-based hypnotherapy, we can help you experience familiar relationship patterns from a new perspective. We can work with the learned expectations, emotional responses, and subconscious associations that may be influencing how you respond to conflict, closeness, communication, disappointment, and connection.
But understanding the pattern isn’t always enough.
You may already know that your partner needs something different from you and still find yourself reacting the same way when the moment arrives.
Through neurosomatic reinforcement, your mind and body can begin practicing what it feels like to stay present when a conversation becomes uncomfortable. To express a need without immediately fearing rejection. To hear something difficult without becoming defensive. To experience disagreement without feeling like the relationship itself is in danger.
Imagine having a disagreement without it becoming another version of the same fight.
Imagine being able to tell your partner what you actually feel instead of expecting them to figure it out.
Imagine feeling hurt without immediately shutting down or pulling away. Feeling misunderstood without becoming defensive. Feeling closer because you no longer have to spend so much energy protecting yourself from the person you love.
Healthy relationships aren’t built because two people never trigger each other.
They’re built when each person has greater freedom in how they respond.
The goal is to help you move beyond simply reacting to the relationship you’re in—and give you more ability to intentionally create the kind of connection you want.
Depending on your personal preference, learning style, and the longevity and complexity of the patterns you’re working to change, Luma Theta offers two primary tracks for creating change:
Rapid Rewire Changework uses 1–3 deep, extended sessions designed to help create meaningful change quickly by working intensively with the underlying patterns connected to the issue.
The Reteaching Method uses approximately 3–8 shorter sessions for each desired change, allowing us to repeatedly introduce, practice, reinforce, and build on new emotional and somatic responses over time.
You can learn more about what these approaches look like and decide which may be the better fit for you on our About Our Sessions page.
