Quit Smoking/Smoking Cessation

Many people genuinely want to quit smoking and still find themselves reaching for another cigarette. Smoking can become deeply connected to routines, emotions, stress, and subconscious patterns that continue even after you have decided to stop. Luma Theta helps you work with these deeper patterns to support lasting change and greater freedom from smoking.

You may genuinely want to quit smoking—and still find yourself reaching for a cigarette almost automatically.
Maybe you’ve tried to quit before. You’ve thrown cigarettes away, made promises, tried nicotine replacements, or told yourself this time would be different. And then stress hits. You’re driving. You finish a meal. You take a break. You have a drink. Someone offers you one.
Before you know it, you’re smoking again.
That’s because smoking is often more than the cigarette itself. Over time, your subconscious mind and your body can learn to associate smoking with relief, comfort, focus, a break, social connection, or simply what you do in certain moments.
The behavior can become so automatic that the urge begins before you consciously decide you want to smoke.
At Luma Theta, we work with the patterns underneath the behavior.
Through deep, theta-based hypnotherapy, we can help you approach the situations, emotions, and learned associations connected to smoking from a new perspective. Rather than relying only on willpower, we work to help create and reinforce different options in the moments you would normally reach for a cigarette.
Through neurosomatic reinforcement, your body can begin practicing what those new options feel like.
Imagine finishing a meal, driving home, taking a break, or dealing with stress—and not automatically thinking about smoking.
Imagine being around other people who smoke and still feeling comfortable in your choice.
Your body and mind knew how to move through life without cigarettes once. They can be reminded how to do it again.
The goal isn’t to spend the rest of your life fighting the urge to smoke.
It’s to create a life where smoking no longer feels necessary.
Depending on your personal preference, learning style, and the longevity and complexity of the pattern you’ve been dealing with, Luma Theta offers two primary tracks for creating change:
Rapid Rewire Changework uses 1–3 deep, extended sessions designed to help create meaningful change quickly by working intensively with the underlying patterns connected to the issue.
The Reteaching Method uses approximately 3–8 shorter sessions for each desired change, allowing us to repeatedly introduce, practice, reinforce, and build on new emotional and somatic responses over time.
For most people who have experienced the draw toward smoking for an extended period of time, a combination of both methods are often recommended. You may book a complimentary consultation to learn more about what will be most right for you, or simply begin with your first Rapid Rewire Session.
You can learn more about what these approaches look like and decide which may be the better fit for you on our About Our Sessions page.
